Before you can really decide which of the hair removal methods will work for your particular unwanted hair, you must determine the location of the hair and the need for it to be a permanent solution or not. For instance, one of the reasons most men shave their face is that they might want the hair gone today but they want the chance to change their minds tomorrow. You know the beard today gone tomorrow type of thing.

However, the removal of facial hair for women is something they would love to have gone today and tomorrow. Not only that they don’t want it there next year or the next 10 to 100 years after that either. So any of the hair removal methods that ensure that the hair is in deed gone permanently would be a good choice for women in this case but not men.

As a side note, I still have a hard time figuring out why men would want hair on their face ever but that’s just me, I guess. And being a woman myself, I most likely just don’t understand. But then I also never ever claimed to understand men. But that’s to be left for another website altogether. Sorry to digress…

…Now, Back to Our Hair Removal Methods

Shaving also allows for the sculpting of different shapes such as for unusual types of mustaches, sideburns, goatees and even Mohawk hair cuts better than any other form of hair removal. Not to mention the latest in pubic hair shapes couples try out to please each other.

These are all circumstances where you wouldn’t want to use any one of the permanent hair removal methods such as laser or electrolysis. And you also wouldn’t even want to use a hair remover that inhibited hair growth either. However, waxing or sugaring might be a good choice in some of these situations. That is as long as you can handle the pain. These products can be quite painful, especially on very sensitive areas of skin.

As a basic solution to women’s facial hair the tweezers are most commonly used especially for those who can’t afford something more long lasting. Shaving is out of the question altogether for a number of reasons. It leaves sharp stubbles and comes back within a few hours. Both of which men put up with but women won’t tolerate. And shaving tends to make hair come back heavier which is also appalling to women.

Yet Another Consideration…

This brings us to yet another consideration when it comes to your choice of hair removal methods. Once you have decided that the location is one that would be a good candidate for permanent removal, then you need to decide on the price you would be willing to pay. And I don’t mean in just terms of dollar amounts.

There is a cost to your pocketbook to consider, of course, but you must also consider the cost in the way of time and pain.  The more permanent hair removal methods such as electrolysis and perhaps lasers are also the most expensive, time consuming and can be quite painful.
