Are you among the growing number of females who are shaving or considering shaving their pubic hair?
And if so, do you know there is a right way to go about shaving female pubic hair that differs from shaving any other body part?
If you have been shaving your pubic hair with the same tools and the same way you shave other parts of your body or considering doing so, you may not be very satisfied with the results. You may also be taking unnecessary risks that you may actually end up regretting.
Did you know that even small nicks, cuts or even minor skin irritations that often occur with normal everyday shaving on other parts of the body can much more easily trigger infections in these extremely sensitive body parts?
And due to the nature of the skin in the pubic region and all of the folds and crevices that you will be shaving, the likelihood of nicks and irritations occurring are also much greater then on other body parts. This makes the possibility of infections occurring even greater as well.
Another problem you face when shaving these areas is that moist pubic regions receive more friction than most other body parts, which makes them even more susceptible to ingrown hairs that can occur when shaving the hair off at the surface of the skin.
Thess are all important reason to follow good female pubic hair shaving guidelines.
Remember, the skin down there is very delicate and much thinner then other parts of the body so you need to be extremely careful and know exactly what you are doing to make sure you care for your skin before, during and after shaving to prevent any of these problems from occurring. Or at the very least reduce the risks to the bare minimum.
Many females and their partners are beginning to really appreciate a clean shaved pubic region for many reasons including physical attractiveness, sexual stimulation, cleanliness and even as a creative outlet with pubic hair designs but think before you act so you don’t become one the casualties of this most recent popular phenomenon.
By following some simple guidelines you can turn your pubic hair shaving experience into something pleasurable that you will continue to enjoy for many years to come.
Here are some recommendations on shaving female pubic hair that if you follow will make your shaving experience much more pleasant and more likely that you will continue to enjoy this experience the way you had hoped to, which might even mean that you will be inclined to do it again.
The first thing you will need to do is carefully trim the pubic hair short with a blunt tip hair scissors or electric hair trimmer. Long hairs will get caught in your razor and dull it quickly which increases the possibility of nicks, cuts and irritations.
Remember, nicks and cuts are a no, no to be avoided at all cost.
Wait at least 20 minutes after you wake up before shaving to allow the puffiness in your skin to decease, which will allow the hairs to stand up away from the skin and make them easier to shave off.
Once you are wide awake and straight (Never shave when you are high on anything, this is your most precious and sensitive area on your body so protect it by always being fully alert.) you should soak your pubic region in a bath, shower or with a warm wet cloth for at least five minutes to soften up the hairs.
Next, apply a good shaving lubricate and let that soak these extremely tough hairs for 3-4 additional minutes before you begin to shave. The skin may be sensitive in your pubic region but these hairs are not. The more you soak them the easier it will be shave them off smoothly and cleanly without irritation to the skin.
Now, when you begin shaving, use a new sharp razor (Change it often even during shaving so it is always clean and sharp.) and as you pull the skin taunt, slowly shave with the direction of the growth of your female pubic hairs making sure to only shave each area once.
Apply more lubricate and shave each area one more time going against the hair growth to get a clean smooth shave.
After you are finished shaving rinse first with warm water and then with cold water and even use an ice cube if you can handle it in order calm down the irritation to the freshly shaved skin.
Now pat dry (don’t rub) and apply non-talc powder and if you like use a moisturizer for sensitive skin.
Wear loose fitting clothing or no clothing for the next few hours to prevent further irritation to the skin and use an anti-itch cream for the first couple of days if you experience itching.
Following these steps can prevent any problems or at the very least keep problems from shaving down to a minimum.
